Why you’ll love this game day snack board:

Tailgate season is officially here, and even though we’re not heading to the stadium every weekend, we love making game day fun with a big snack board. It’s easy, fun for the kids, and honestly—it’s way less work than prepping a meal.

I grabbed everything I needed for this spread at Festival Foods, which is always my go-to for tailgating here in Green Bay. They carry Certified Angus Beef®, so I know I’m getting the best quality and flavor, and they have a great selection of dairy free options.

Certified Angus Beef’s new snack sticks are top of my list this year. They’re full of flavor, easy to grab, and the perfect protein-packed option for everyone. I also grabbed their summer sausage – disclaimer, this does contain dairy, but my kids can safely eat it – and a few different cheese options for my dairy eaters.

A wooden platter with sliced cheddar and white cheeses, sliced sausages, carrot sticks, and a bowl of dip. A small flag labeled Contains: Milk is placed among the cheese. Strawberries and a mini football are nearby.

Melissa’s tips + tricks:

Since we have a dairy allergy in our house, I always try to make our boards inclusive—but not boring. Here are a few easy things I do to make sure everyone can snack stress-free:

  1. Make allergen markers – I used brown paper grocery bags and toothpicks to label what’s dairy free vs. what contains milk. It’s low-effort, but super helpful when friends or neighbors are over.
  2. Separate sides or boards – Dairy free cheese goes on one side, regular cheese on the other – same with any dips or spreads that might contain allergens. If you have any other allergens to deal with, I recommend using bowls to contain them or doing separate boards for a more severe allergy. Always err on the side of caution.
  3. Choose flavorful proteins – The Certified Angus Beef® snack sticks were the MVP of our board this week. They’re made with the only beef that’s certified for flavor and that’s a great option whether you’re dairy free or not.
  4. Save time on game day by prepping and chopping your ingredients the day before. Then, just assemble your board before kickoff.

Where to find Certified Angus Beef®

Certified Angus Beef® is known for quality, tenderness, and flavor—and it’s the only beef certified for all three. If you’re making a snack board or grilling for game day, start with the best.

You can find Certified Angus Beef® products—like the snack sticks and prime strip steaks—at Festival Foods if you’re located in Wisconsin. That’s where I picked up everything for this game day snack board!
