Pink moscato sangria for our baby girl!

Yesterday was my twin sister’s baby shower, and we celebrated the sweet little baby girl that we are going to get to meet in just a few short weeks. I literally can’t wait to meet my new niece.

She’s going to be so cute and little and snuggly, and it was so great getting to see family and friends – one of the best things about being a twin is that you get to have all the same friends. This baby is going to be one lucky girl with some many great people in her life.

Obviously, we had amazing food – roasted tomato pasta salad, pulled pork, tasty dips, and some unbelievably good cheesecake topped with strawberries. But, we had to have some pink drinks. So I made this really easy pink strawberry sangria, and I know you’ll love it, too.

Ingredient notes:

  • Moscato – This sweet, fruit wine makes a perfect base for this sangria.
  • Vodka – We used a strawberry vodka for this recipe, but a plain or raspberry vodka would be fine if you cannot find a strawberry flavored.
  • Soda – You can use a lemon-lime soda, a club soda or a mix of both, depending on how sweet you like your cocktails.

The following is a detailed overview of the recipe steps with added tips and tricks for recipe success. For a simplified and printable version, including ingredient amounts and more formal instructions, see the recipe card below.

How to make moscato sangria

For a single pitcher:

  1. Combine the 1 bottle of wine, 1/2 cup strawberry-flavored vodka, 2 cups soda and fresh strawberries.
  2. If you don’t want strawberry vodka, you can substitute any flavor or plain vodka instead.
  3. Chill for at least 1 hour. Serve in glasses filled with ice.

For a large batch:

  1. In a large drink dispenser, combine 4 bottles of wine, 2 cups flavored vodka, 8 cups (or 1 2-liter bottle) of soda and 1 pint of sliced strawberries.
  2. You can also substitute 1 bag of frozen sliced strawberries.
  3. Chill for at least 1 hour. Serve in glasses filled with ice. I like to also put out an extra bowl of sliced strawberries for garnish since they normally can’t come out of drink dispensers.

Frequently asked questions

What does moscato sangria taste like?

This moscato sangria is a bit sweeter than traditional sangria, making it more like a punch recipe.

Is moscato really wine?

Yes. It’s a sweet Italian wine made from grapes. It can be made with white or red grapes, but it’s generally made into a white or pink wine.

Does moscato have a lot of sugar?

Sweet wines tend to have a higher sugar content than dry wines, but that doesn’t mean sugar has been added to them.

Pink Moscato Sangria

This easy moscato sangria is so easy to make with only 4 ingredients: moscato wine, lemon lime soda, vodka and strawberries. Swap sparkling water or club soda if you prefer it less sweet, or customize it by adding more of your favorite fruits. We like peaches and watermelon, too! Either way, it’s a party favorite, and it’s perfect for bridal and baby showers or a backyard bbq.

I can’t wait to try it this weekend. Is it supposed to be 750 ml, a whole bottle of moscato? TIA!

Yes! A whole bottle. I hope you like it!

Which Moscato specifically did you use for this?

        1. Melissa Belanger says:

I think I used Barefoot Pink Moscato, but it was so long ago I can’t be sure. Really any brand of pink would work fine. You could even use white moscato if you want.

I am going to make this for a Galentines Day party! Do you remember the measurements or how much you added into your drink dispenser to make 5 batches worth?

    1. Melissa Belanger says:

That’s a great idea! I really don’t remember. I wish I did! I’m so sorry. I want to say that I just multiplied the recipe.

Is it a 75ml bottle or 750ml? i’m seeing both on thai page. Thanks in advance!!

    1. Melissa Belanger says:

It’s a full 750ml bottle. I’ll make sure I fix that though. Thank you!

  7. Suzanne says:

This looks so good! I love that it is so simple & quick to make!

  8. Kathleen says:

If you put the club soda in and there is some left over, will it still taste good the next day

    1. Melissa says:

It would be ok, but I would hold off on putting the club soda in until you’re ready to serve it. If you don’t think you’ll serve the whole batch, you can add club soda to each individual serving!
