- 1 1/2 cups jasmine rice
- 3 cups water
- 3 - 4 garlic cloves smashed and peeled
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or vegan butter
- Pinch of coarse salt
Combine rice, water, garlic and olive oil in a large saucepan. Season with a pinch of coarse salt.
Cover the pot and bring to a boil. Immediately reduce heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and allow the rice to absorb any remaining liquid. This should take about 10 - 15 minutes.
Fluff rice with a fork before serving.
