Coffee Rubbed Steak
These coffee rubbed steaks are one of my favorite things to grill up once the weather gets warm. This super easy dry rub creates an aromatic crust that's infused with savory spices and rich coffee grounds for a flavor that's unique and delicious.

For the coffee rub:
- 2 tablespoons coffee grounds
- 2 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon coarse salt
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
- 1 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1 teaspoon coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
For grilling:
- 4 NY strip steaks about 1"-thick
Combine coffee rub ingredients in a mixing bowl and stir until evenly combined.
To grill steaks, season each steak with about 1 - 2 teaspoons dry rub. Allow steaks to rest for about 30 minutes - 1 hour before grilling.
Heat grill to high (about 450˚F). Add steaks to the grill and cook for about 5 minutes per side, or until the steak reaches an internal temperature of your liking - generally around 120˚F for medium rare.
Remove steaks from the grill and allow them to rest for about 5 minutes before serving or slicing.
