Chipotle Maple Smoked Brussels Sprouts

These smoked Brussels sprouts are going to be the summer’s biggest hit! They’re seasoned with a mix of spicy chipotle peppers and sweet maple syrup, then slow-roasted on a pellet grill (or your favorite smoker). In no time, this recipe turns ordinary Brussels sprouts into an amazing dish to share with friends and family.

Ingredients

  • 2 - 2.5 pounds of brussels sprouts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 chipotle pepper chopped
  • 1 tablespoon adobo sauce
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 - 1 teaspoon coarse salt to taste

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the ingredients and toss to coat the Brussels sprouts.
  • For a quick smoke: Preheat smoker to 400˚F. Add Brussels sprouts to the smoker on a grill liner or basket and smoked for 25 - 30 minutes, or until tender with crispy edges.
  • For a longer smoke: Preheat smoker to 225˚F. Add Brussels sprouts to the smoker on a grill liner or basket and smoked for at least 1 hour, or until tender with crispy edges.
