TikTok Ramen
Skip the flavor packets (they have milk in them anyway) and make this infamous TikTok ramen recipe. This homemade ramen seasoning method makes a creamy ramen that’s super flavorful and easy to make. Don’t forget to sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning or top with some chives for extra flavor.

Why you’ll love this tiktok ramen recipe
We don’t normally buy ramen noodles because of the hidden dairy, but when I saw this recipe going viral, I knew I had to try it.
If you haven’t already, you’ve probably seen some variation of this recipe, and some use the egg as a solid ingredient, scrambling it like you would in fried rice, but I love to use it to make the sauce extra creamy, almost like a pasta carbonara.
The only substitute we needed was dairy free butter, but that’s the easiest swap ever after that.

Making changes to a recipe can result in recipe failure. Any substitutions listed below are simple changes that I believe will work in this recipe, but results are not guaranteed.
- Ramen noodles – We’re only using the noodles from the pack, so any flavor will work, and there’s no need to buy a fancy brand either.
- Egg – This makes the sauce creamy. Don’t skip it!
- Soy sauce – We normally use reduced sodium-soy sauce, but you can use regular if you adjust the rest of the salt in the recipe.
- Brown sugar – Dark or light brown sugar will work. You can also substitute honey or agave nectar for sweetness instead.
- Dairy free butter – I like to use Earth Balance vegan buttery sticks, but you can use your favorite brand (or even a dairy-based butter if that works for you).
Melissa’s dairy free tip:
Most of brands of instant ramen noodles have dairy listed as in the ingredients, but it’s in the seasoning packet. For this recipe, you can buy any flavor you want, all the noodles are the same.

Ingredients
- 2 packages ramen noodles (without seasoning packet)
- Salted water
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons vegan butter (melted)
- 2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 2 eggs
Instructions
- Cook the noodles. First, toss those seasoning packets. We don't need them. Then, add water to a large saucepan and bring it to a boil. Salt the water liberally and cook the ramen noodles until tender.Drain the noodles and return them to the pot, but keep it off the heat until you add the sauce.
- Mix the sauce. While the noodles cook, whisk the eggs, sugar, soy sauce, garlic and red pepper flakes together in a mixing bowl. Then, melt the [dairy free] butter in the microwave or on the stove in a small pot.
- Temper the eggs. While the [dairy free] butter is still hot, slowly whisk it into the sauce. This prevents the eggs from clumping and helps prep the sauce to become nice and creamy when cooked.
- Sauce the ramen. Transfer the sauce to the pot with the ramen and turn the heat up to medium. Let the noodles cook, stirring to prevent the sauce from sticking, until the sauce is nice and creamy.
- Garnish and serve. Divide your ramen noodles between two bowls and garnish with everything bagel seasoning (or just sesame seeds) and adds some fresh chives before serving.
This sounds really fun.
However, I can’t eat things like wheat and rice. No grains really.
Do you think it would be good with either shirataki tofu noodles or hearts of palm noodles?
Any low carb noodles, is what I mean. If I can use the sauce that way it would be great. Even though the brown sugar has lots of carbs.
I love your recipes. Your broccoli cheese recipe is a staple on our menu.
I haven’t tried them myself, so I don’t know how they will work. You might just have to adjust the amount of sauce you put on the noodles. If you try, I would love to know how it works out!
Followed instructions, but my sauce curdled. It was still really good though. Way better than adding the packet of seasoning! Thanks!
I love this recipe and its so easy to make. I have already recommended it to all my friends. Just make sure to stir pretty consistently when you add the sauce because it can stick once it gets creamy. Overall, great meal.
You can buy better quality and cheaper noodles without the seasoning pack at a Chinese store. The noodles have better texture and chew. Best of all a lot cheaper.
I made this before and my son and I loved it! It’s so easy and so good.
Made this today using the brown rice/millet ramen noodles and it was delicious!! Perfect creamy consistency with a little spice from the red pepper flakes. My only regret was making 1 portion because I want more already
Surprisingly delicious and better than the tik tok” egg souffle “.
Yum!! Added goya seasoning packet just a little and garlic chili sauce for some heat, some mushroom and snap peas!! Good recipe!
