Smoked Shrimp

Super delicious and easy to make, these smoked shrimp are seasoned with a salt & pepper dry rub, then cooked on a pellet grill for maximum flavor. Serve them with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice that complements shrimp and adds brightness to this simple protein.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds peeled, deveined shrimp
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon coarse salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat smoker to 275˚F.

  2. Pat shrimp dry with paper towel.

  3. Drizzle with olive oil. Then, liberally season them with salt, pepper and garlic.

  4. Skewer the shrimp or place them into a grill basket.

  5. Smoke for 15 – 20 minutes, depending on size, or until internal temperature reaches 165˚F.

  6. Remove from smoker and serve immediately.

Notes

If using wooden skewers, make sure to soak them for about 30 minutes in cold water before using.
