Rosemary Beer Brined Chicken Drumsticks

Ingredients

  • 8 chicken drumsticks
  • 1 12-ounce honey blonde ale
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 large rosemary sprig, stem removed, chopped

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl or zip top bag. Shake to mix ingredients. Refrigerate until ready to grill.
  2. Remove chicken from brine and pat dry.

To grill drumsticks:

Preheat grill for medium indirect heat. Grill drumsticks for about 30 minutes, turning once to prevent burning, or until internal temperature reaches 165˚F. Remove from grill and let rest for about 5 minutes before serving.

To bake drumsticks:

Preheat oven to 400˚F. Bake for 30 – 35 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165˚F. Remove from oven and let rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
