- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots
- 3/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 large apple, cored and chopped (skin can stay on) 1 cup
- 4 garlic cloves
- 2 pounds ground pork (2.5)
- 1 teaspoon coarse salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 3/4 cup dry white wine
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon fennel seed
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
Instructions
