This simple grapefruit cocktail recipe takes the classic salty dog to a new level by mixing traditional vodka, grapefruit juice and salt with a hint of elderflower liqueur and a splash of club soda for added fizz.

Happy Friday! Are you ready for the weekend? I know I am. Marc is home from work early today, and his mom is visiting this week, so we’re planning on taking Ellie to a pumpkin patch and corn maze. Then, Ellie’s second birthday party is tomorrow. Her second birthday. What is happening?
Unlike her first birthday, I’m making this one really easy on myself. I’m only inviting my parents, Marc’s mom, and my sister and niece. That’s it. I’m making a little spread of food for us to eat and the “party” is going to be at noon so Ellie doesn’t have to sit around all day looking at her cake.
