Why you’ll love this maple tahini dressing

This dressing is a new one to me, but the ingredients themselves aren’t. Tahini has become a staple in our house, and I love how it adds a creaminess to this dressing without being overly nutty.

This dressing the the perfect balance of creamy and sweet, and it’s super versatile. I originally paired this dressing with my butternut squash and kale salad, but I’ve also used it to make a super quick arugula salad and it’s delicious.

Ingredients & substitutions

  • Maple syrup – You want real maple syrup for this recipe, not the stuff you would put on pancakes.
  • Tahini – This is a sesame paste, similar to a nut butter, but you can find it in the organic or international foods aisle in your grocery store. It’s also sometimes found by the peanut butter.
  • Lemon juice – I recommend fresh squeezed, but bottled lemon juice will work. You can also swap this for lime juice if that’s all you have.

How to make this tahini maple dressing

Combine ingredients. Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl and whisk until the dressing is smooth. Add the water 1 tablespoon at a time to get the dressing to your desired thickness. I prefer mine a little thinner, so I usually go with 2 tablespoons, but it’s totally up to you.

Store or serve. Transfer your dressing to an airtight storage container – like a mason jar. Store the dressing in the refrigerator until you’re ready to use it. This dressing should keep for up to one week.
