Maple Sausage Dutch Babies

Ingredients

For the dutch babies:

Toppings:

  • Chopped strawberries
  • Blueberries
  • Maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400˚F.
  2. In a skillet over high heat, brown sausage, breaking up meat as it cooks. Remove from heat.
  3. Place 1/2 tablespoon butter into 18 cups of two muffin trays. Bake until butter is melted, about 2 minutes.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together milk, flour, sugar and egg.
  5. Remove pan from oven and divide cooked sausage evenly between muffin cups. Top sausage with batter, filling each cup about halfway.
  6. Bake for 15 – 18 minutes, or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow pan to cool for several minutes before removing dutch babies.
  8. To serve, top with berries and maple syrup.
