Life Lately
I have so, so much to tell you since my last life update. I don’t even know where to start….
I have so, so much to tell you since my last life update. I don’t even know where to start. I suppose we left off around the time we moved back from France. That was three months ago – three months ago – and so much has happened since.
I know I’ve already mentioned it, but my niece was born on Memorial Day. Her name is Lucy, and she’s itty-bitty and oh-so-cute. She’s almost seven weeks old and even though she’s still so tiny, I can’t believe how much she’s changed already. It seems like she gets cuter everyday. Did I mention how cute she is?
Ellie has gotten so much bigger, too. Since we’ve been back she’s learned to sit up, crawl, stand and climb. She’s out of control – in a good way. She’s even been experimenting with walking when she has a little help. She’s eating 3 solid food meals a day, and she is starting to let us know when she doesn’t like something by very aggressively spitting it out. You can see one of her favorite baby food recipes here.
The summer weather has finally kicked in here, and we took Ellie in my parents’ pool for the first time (and many more times after). She loves it. She looks especially cute in her swimsuit and hat, and we got her a little baby float with a sun shade so she can float around just like her momma. She’s still getting used to it though.
My grandparents came for a visit all the way from Philadelphia, and they finally got to meet Ellie and Lucy, which was so fun. I’m so thankful that they were able to make it out here to spend time with us.
Marc’s mom came for a visit, too, and even though it was much to short, Ellie had so much fun with her Mamie. We went to the zoo and took Ellie out for her first pancakes. And, we celebrated Ellie’s first Canada day together – fully decked out in red maple leaves.
I am not even kidding you when I say so much is going on for us right now – starting with some major changes that will be happening around here – but I’m keeping things a secret for now, so you’ll have to stick around to find out. We’ve also been making some major life changes, as far as our future is concerned, and I’ll let you know what’s up with that really, really soon. On top of that, I’ve decided to take on some web design clients and I am in the midst of several projects right now. Needless to say, my plate is full, and I’m very happy about it.
