The holiday season is almost upon us. There’s been Christmas decorations littering my stores for at least a month now, but I still never feel fully prepared for all the excitement and craziness that the holidays bring (I mean the good kind of craziness). I’m always looking for ways to simplify this time of year, and having a fun cocktail – or mocktail – recipe ready to go is a great way to get started.

This cranberry ginger margarita is a fun twist on my regular cranberry margaritas, but the addition of Canada Dry® Ginger Ale gives it holiday spin. I normally pick up a 12-pack of cans when I’m at Target. I do this intentionally, because, even though it might cost more up front, I don’t have to worry about soda going flat if I don’t use it all. I can make as few or as many cranberry ginger margaritas as I want, and it doesn’t matter. But, just a tip, there’s a deal on Cartwheel right now, so don’t forget to use that when you check out.

To make things even easier, I give myself a free pass on dishes and choose Vanity Fair® Everyday Napkins and Dixie Ultra® Holiday Plates – also available at Target near the other disposable tableware items – because they’re dependable and make cleaning up a breeze. I don’t ever have to worry if all the dishes will fit in the dishwasher, and I can spend a lot more time with my family. I think that’s extra important right now because Ellie is still so little. I really don’t want to miss any moments.

If you want to make a non-alcoholic version of this drink, simply replace the 4 ounces of tequila with an additional ounce of cranberry juice and lime juice. Then add a little extra ginger ale to fill up the cup. It’s a great seasonal mocktail.

P.S. There’s also a giveaway at the end of this post, so make sure you scroll below the recipe to enter! We’re giving away at Target gift card, which is perfect for you holiday shopping.
