    1. I wouldn’t recommend freezing it. Mayo based things don’t do too well in the freezer. It should last for about a week. Maybe two depending on how fresh the ingredients are that your using.

    1. I would keep it for about 4 – 5 days (as long as your aren’t using near-expired ingredients). 🙂

  1. The one I learned from my MIL uses pickle juice, chopped pickles and shredded sweet onion (and spices).

    1. Oh that sounds delicious! I will have to try that next time I make it. I would love to know what spices you use.

  2. This tartar sauce is amazing! I’ve eaten a lot of fish, both at home and at restaurants (growing up on Vancouver Island) with and without tartar sauce before but I could eat this tartar sauce all day long with any fish!

  3. Capers…next to Cilantro the 2 worst spices in the world. Two “chic” spices that have ruined more than one ham or jar of salsa!

  4. I added a dash of Worcester sauce to the finished pproduct. Excellent tarter sauce. Will never buy store bought again!

  5. Made this today followed the recipe with one exception I didn’t have any chives so used powdered onion instead, tasted Great!
